Working Out The Details

My idea is to make part of this site a blog where I can air things out, or “vent”, if you will, about what it’s like doing a show like Ebony Nights, being somewhat of a hanger-on in the porn biz, etc. Hence: Flexx’s Blog.

After I talked to Wankus (the PD at RudeTV) about doing Ebony Nights again, I told myself that I wanted it to be different. Not just the aesthetics of the show, but the way it’s put together. The preparation. The behind-the-camera shit.

The first incantation of Ebony Nights at KSEXradio was…well…chaos behind the scenes. It was my true intro to the biz, and I jumped in feet first. I knew jack shit about the adult industry and the people in it. Honestly, it made the show less than it could have been. Mind you, Sierra was possibly the best co-host you could ask for, and Wankus molded us with all of his knowledge on radio . Those factors probably saved my ass from embarrassment in front of tons of people. But this RudeTV thing is a whole different ball game, and it’s not likely that I’ll get the same breaks I had before.

So this time around, I’m making sure it’s done proper. I got people helping me put the show together (shout out to my co-producer). I’m scheduling guests WAY in advance to (try to) avoid them flaking on me. I’m setting up all kinds of connected ventures to make it a way better experience.

So for those of you who saw me on RudeTV making the announcement that I was coming back, it’s still in the works. I just refuse to rush into things this time around. Might be my last hoorah…
