Just got this via Pinky’s Twitter page. No real news to attach to it. But it’s def a good look.

Seems that both sides are claiming to have done their part to get this movie nominated. Somewhere in there lies the truth, but we’ll probably never know. – Flexx

It would appear that the reason for Not The Cosbys XXX being overlooked at the recent Urban X Awards was not as sinister as it was made out to be, but more along the lines of failed communication.

After the press release from X-Play came out, in which they expressed their disappoinment with not receiving even a nomination at the awards show for ethnic related flicks, Giana Taylor, producer of the Urban X Awards show released a statement in which she said:

It really upsets me to read such stories such as the one released about the “Not The Cosbys XXX” not being nominated. The reason I am upset is because I put out press releases about the nomination deadlines, and I even extended them two times to give companies more time to submit movies.

For Jeff Mullin to put a negative story out such as the one he put
out is just very disrespectful to me, as the founder of Urban X Awards, and to his cast, to make them think that we would intentionally leave such a big movie out of the nominations.

She went on to advise members of the cast of Not The Cosbys XXX to “…contact the folks responsible for submitting that movie for dropping the ball…”

Soon after, a response came from Jeff Mullin in which he expressed that the press release was not meant to be disrespectful, but rather “tongue-in-cheek parody-like”. He continued to say:

As for Not the Cosbys XXX not winning an Urban X Award that is really not a problem at all and if they didn’t receive our DVD or my comments that Thomas Ward (Cliff Huxtable) would bring the house down as a presenter at their awards show (Misty Stone AKA Denise Huxtable was on their stage) then I can understand them not putting our movie on their nomination list to consider. I know they certainly knew about Not the Cosbys XXX but if exact protocol was not followed I can totally see their point of leaving it off their nom list.

Hollywood, CA- The Huxtables really must be white because they were shut out of the victory circle during the 2nd annual Urban X Awards which took place Sunday night at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood.

The promising award show which honors ethnic stars and movies in the Black, Asian and Latin genres was abuzz with fun-loving activity all night long but X-Play’s Not the Cosbys XXX received zero trophies which prompted plans for more black and interracial sex comedies from the movie’s director Will Ryder who has created some of porn’s biggest blockbusting titles such as Not the Bradys XXX, Not Bewitched XXX, the upcoming Not Married with Children XXX and just in time for football season Not Monday Night Football XXX. .

“I’m not surprised that we didn’t hear our name called from the stage because I don’t think we were nominated for anything,” Ryder said after being asked if he or the movie’s cast members were hurt by the cold shoulder their movie received from the Urban X organizers. “It would have been a wonderful surprise and total honor if we had won something without being nominated,” he said.

Many are calling Not the Cosbys XXX the greatest porn-parody of all time and possibly the most expensive interracial sex movie ever created but many of the movie’s black actors spotted in attendance at the Boulevard 3 Nightclub partying the night away didn’t seem to notice that their blockbusting parody was left off the dance card line-up.

“I’m having a really great time tonight,” stated the gorgeous Misty Stone who plays Denise Huxtable in the Cosby Show spoof. “Did we win?”

Melody Nakai who plays Vanessa Huxtable seemed a little surprised by the snub but never stopped smiling all night long and remarked, “This is a really fun night and I’m just soaking it all in but I’m pretty sure I saw Theo and Cockroach up on stage accepting an award for something,” she said.

Not the Cosbys XXX feels like a lost episode of the famous television show with college on the horizon and her cute girlfriends addicted to boys, Denise is on a mission to lose her virginity as hilarious situations give way to an explosion of non-stop hardcore sex as Cliff & Claire attempt to maintain control of Theo, Sondra, Denise, Vanessa, Rudy & Cockroach.

The movie is NOT endorsed or sponsored by NBC, Carsey Werner Productions or Bill Cosby but some of the factory workers who make Puddin’ Pops really seem to like it.

“There’s a lot of black folks in that cast,” Ryder joked. “I would have thought we might get nominated for something maybe best furniture or most well-behaved family whose father is a doctor, but I know we’re all a little disappointed that we didn’t received an Urban X Award this year but I think we’ll get ‘em next year with Not Sanford & Son XXX or Not Good Times XXX.

Flexx & Rane Revere of Ebony Nights

Yes I know it’s been a minute. I make no excuses. But I do offer up new thangs and the promise of more to come in the very near future.

Firstly, if you haven’t been watching the show recently, we just announced Rane Revere as the new co-host of Ebony Nights! *golf clap* She’s definitely got it going on (down there and up there) and y’all will see what a great addition to the RudeTV & Ebony Nights TV team she is.

I don’t wanna go into much detail about some of the crazy directions I’m gonna go with Ebony Nights/Ebony Nights TV. But all I can say at this point is that it will be much more than just a show on Rude. Stay tuned.
