As I’ve mentioned here before, I’m not much of a “blogger.”  That’s one of the reasons why you won’t see me go long stretches sometimes without making an update, as I’d rather be bringing you new & fresh info rather than blabbing about my opinions on things (nothing wrong with that… I’m just more of the silent type).

This past month though has put me to the test, and is the other part of the reasons why I’ve been away.  I can’t speak on everything, but I will touch on a couple points.

If you watch the show, you’ve probably already noticed that Rane Revere has been out for a while now.  I’m sorry to say, Rane fans, she won’t be back.  At least not in the co-hosting capacity, and at least no time in the foreseeable future.  No drama or anything like that.  And no, she didn’t “find jesus” or quit porn lol.  She just had bigger & better things on her plate to accomplish.  Of course I wish her well, and she already knows that.  I’m sure she would have preferred to say goodbye to the viewers.  The opportunity just didn’t arise in time.  So, on her behalf, Rane Revere thanks you all.

Brittany Blaze has been holding me down in Rane’s absence (as I believe you’ve also noticed if you’ve been watching) and I love her for it.  If you’re confused about a white girl being on my left, worry not.  She’s had more black in her than you can shake a stick at (no not me….yet).

In addition to keeping the Ebony Nights train moving along, you might possibly be seeing more of me on RudeTV.  No real details to speak about just yet.  But just a heads up.

So if you tuned in last night you saw that my special guest host was Brittany Blaze (get well soon, Rane).

Brittany shared a little tale with us where she did a scene for Cougars In Heat while admittedly not knowing what the term “cougar” meant at the time. Therefore she took the term cougar LITERALLY and was making cat noises and clawing the guy !

As funny as it is to picture this, I had to go find this scene and look for it myself. And now that you know the inside story (watching our show has more than just the usual perks) you will enjoy this scene that much more as you watch Brittany scratch the hell outta her prey!

Next month Brittany will be shooting for the site Nut Collector. Expect her to be shoving walnuts in her cheeks!

OH YES WE WERE SOO BAD SPANK US!!

Ok we weren’t that bad, but we still deserved to be spanked. Or at least I do. I been gone for a minute, but I swear I was TCB’in! Handling business and what not. Nonetheless, I fell short on staying on top of Ebony Nights TV and for that, I do apologize. But I figured it was time I came from my dark dank cave of an office and got back on the streets again! And what better way to kick off my “revival” (because “comebacks” are so 2007) than a trip to the latest-greatest porn convention; Erotica LA! With photos to prove it!

Rane & I trotted ourselves around the showroom floor most of Saturday. Rane was driving fans crazy with her schoolgirl outfit (complete with knee high socks). Me, I was just burnin’ up hot due to a terrible wardrobe decision. Long sleeves in a room full of hot & horny folks is a bad choice, y’all.

I’m not so much the photographer type, as I can’t seem to tackle the girls and put them in a sleeper hold for a photo the way some guys do (I snuck in a few shots though). According to a press release I read on AdultFYI, a new flick coming out entitled release Oh No! There’s a Negro in My Daughter 2 is the one that’s got my boxers in a bunch this time. While I’ll always be a fan of watching white gurls getting piped by brothas, I’ll never sanction the use of the word ‘negro’.

You can be edgy or push the envelope all you want with your flicks and your titles. But if that’s the case, can you at least put together the brain cells to be clever? Or at least funny? Marginally amusing?? This title doesn’t even have the ability to be considered anything above juvenile.

Instead of coming up with fuck-tarded movie titles to vent the pent up racial hatred in your hearts, how about you put some of that energy towards saving the industry?

Stacie Lane... the cute face with wild tastes

Stacie Lane was the guest on Ebony Nights the other night, and I must admit that she’s a testament to the old saying : don’t judge a book by it’s cover. In the case of Stacie, because she’s got that innocent face & smile, one might expect a timid little cutie who would laugh like “tee-hee” and probably roll her eyes at a guy like me acting like an idiot on my show. Yeah I know she still rolled her eyes at me acting a fool, but it was a different kinda eye roll LOL.

Seriously, I was pleasantly surprised. Stacie Lane is upbeat, energetic, and all about her business. Not to mention a self proclaimed “freak.” Actually, I think she topped almost all of us freaks when she admitted to boning her youth minister on a desk in the church office! And though I used to ALWAYS think of sex while I was in church (yes I’m gonna burn in hell), I never got the idea to do the do while in the “house of the Lord.” Points go to Ms Lane on that one.

Something else that I think we neglected to cover while I was grilling her – Stacie Lane has her own distribution deal through Black Market, which just adds more to her resume of “businesswoman.” Not many performers in this business have the wherewithal to be working on getting their distro game up while still in their first year of the business. Honestly, most are just working for the quick buck, as if the money and opportunities will always be there. Reality check ladies (more so than your male counterparts) – you will not be able to stay in demand long enough to maintain the high life. Time to put that business hat on. Hit up Stacie for some pointers lol.

Producer and Director Diana DeVoe gives Flexx the OG porn greeting

Well it was all good re-acquainting with Diana DeVoe again. It had been years since we’ve said anything more than a passing hello to each other. Not that there should have been more. We’ve always just barely knew each other. But while we were doing the show it took me back to when I first introduced myself to her. And that kind of reminded me why I first even started doing what I did in the first place.

I remember thinking that the black performers, and those who worked with them, just did not get enough shine in this dirty business. And while I never believed that I had “the juice” to make someone a star, I figured that there NEEDED to be more outlets for them to get at least some kind of exposure. That the main reason why I started my first porn site oh so long ago. (The other reason? Duh… nekkid women!)

Mind you, I lost the faith. Too many factors to name, but I got to a point where I figured what I was doing was pointless. maybe I was, and still am, right. But you know what? Fuck it. My folks have made some major moves in this business, and we need all the positive light we can get. I’ll probably never be the “militant porn guy” (as Wankus puts it) that I used to be. But I’ll keep doing Ebony Nights until the wheels fall off.

Oh and a side note, that Miss DeVoe might kill me for but… You know that scene with Justin Slayer she talked about during the show? I found out where you can peep it! Muahahaha! I’ve been a “hanger-on” in this business for a while now.  In my earlier days, I was quite adamant in pointing out the apparent racial inequalities that were spread throughout the adult industry.  The shit that some companies would say and do could be classified as nothing less than flat out disrespect to people of color, especially blacks.  It was as if the racial sensitivity of the skin biz was still stuck in the 1960’s.

But that was years ago.  Since then I had given up on trying to “fight the power” or whatever the fuck you wanna label it.  Most of the blacks in the biz didn’t care.  The few that did saw it as part of the package deal of doing what they loved to do.  And who was I to try and change things?  I wasn’t on the front lines, being neither a performer or director.  So if they could live with it, I could fall in line.

Over the years though, I have seen so many positive things happen for the people of color in the industry.  many new companies were launched, awards were won, performers were given more opportunities.  It seemed like things were getting better – even from my outsiders view.  Though I had long given up on my former attitude towards the industry, I still took some delight in this.

I know that people everywhere in LA like to crack little racial jokes to people they consider friends.  Calling a friend out for some racial stereotype seems to be a form of endearment out here.  I do it all the time myself. But the “no negro shows” comment that was allegedly made by an exec at Playboy Radio just doesn’t fly with me.  There’s a difference between ribbing someone in general, and actually using what is considered a racial slur when discussing business.  On top of that, I’d think that someone who works for a company as established and as public as Playboy would try to maintain a certain standard of professionalism.  Or at least enough to not use the word “Negro”.  What the hell is the need for that?

But I guess that’s how it (still) is in this business.  People hold the blacks who work just as hard, just as long, (no pun intended) as still being less than worthy of even marginal respect.  I ain’t shocked.  it’s just a damn shame.

If you’ve watched the show, you may already have noticed a pattern forming. Gen gets naked – in a hurry! I don’t know if this is because she is hot from the lights or just hot in the pants, but I’m tellin’ ya, within the first five minutes of a show, she is peeling off some article of clothing.

You may think I am praising her for this…but I’m not. And now, you may think I am crazy. You’d be wrong again. The evidence of my sanity is proven in the picture you see here, taken with my cell phone. Miss Tilly likes to wear skirts that are short…shorter than short (what can I say? –MC Eiht). These skirts are not hinting at some booty, they are giving you full on (I just coined this term) “thigh cleavage”. And Gen has a nice ROUND booty, so it’s not like she’s unaware of exactly the peep show she’s giving us all.

I see this and I find myself sometimes wishing she’d keep the skirt on a bit longer so I can continue acting like a pervert and checking her out in her skimpy outfit.

Gen Tilly and Flexx toast the inauguration of Ebony Nights

This past Monday was the first episode of Ebony Nights on Rude TV. My co-host Gen Tilly is such a damn trooper. She was feeling a little out of it but still came through and helped me put on what we thought was a pretty good first show, considering that co-hosting a show was brand new to her. I think we’re gonna work some seriously entertaining magic for y’all.

Though a lot of it was new for me as well, there was still some “blast from the past” moments for me that night. Driving up to the station brought back a lot of memories, when I’m trying to get in “the zone” and figure out exactly how I’m gonna approach the topic of the night.

Then I walk in the building and, in our green room (dubbed the Blue Balls Room) I see, getting ready to guest appear on another show, adult industry vets Diana DeVoe and John E Depth. Both people who have been guests on the original Ebony Nights. It kinda took me by surprise, especially considering that I haven’t really seen either of them in years. Diana was one of the first people that I met in my early days of trying to get my foot into the door of Porn Valley. I doubt either of them remember me. But hey, that’s par for the course.

It was pretty easy to get back into the groove of running my mouth on a show, especially since all the people I used to work with before are now here at RudeTV. The first few minutes felt a bit awkward (as you could probably tell by watching), but as Wank said to me right before I went on, it was just like riding a bike. I’m normally a quiet and reserved guy in public. So when I gotta fire up my on-air persona, I need to psych up. That’s what I feared would give me trouble.

I expect the shows to get a lot more live, as Gen is a naturally bubbly person, and I can feed off of that well. We’ve officially come full circle -Ebony Nights is reborn…
